The Foundation awards scholarships to Wayne Seniors. The Heart of Blue and Gold Scholarship recognizes Seniors that have exemplified the character traits that are taught throughout their time at Wayne. These traits are perseverance, discipline, responsibility, honesty, tolerance, respect, caring and compassion.

Winners are announced at graduation.

The Foundation provides educational grants to the staff at Wayne Central.  Through this financial support the Foundation can encourage staff to think outside of the box and create learning opportunities that enrich the educational experience for the students.  The grants are awarded based on the creativeness, need, sustainability, budget and approval of administration

The Foundation is honored to aid in opening doors for the students and staff that have been closed due to budget limitations.  These grants are only possible due to the outpouring of support from the community through the Foundation’s fundraising activities. 

Annually the Foundation proudly presents The Wayne Central Education Foundation Golden Flamingo Award. This honor recognizes one teacher or staff member from each school building. Students and parents complete a nomination application sharing how this individual has had a lasting positive impact on their lives.
